About Lowthers Small Engine

Lowthers Small Engine was started in 1975 by George Lowther Sr and George Lowther Jr in Delanco, NJ in a small backyard shed. The idea right from the start was “keep the customer happy, and you keep the customer for life”. Over the years the business grew, through address changes and increasing shop sizes, to the present 2500 sq. ft. repair shop building, and 6000 square foot parts and showroom building.

Parts have always been a large part of the focus at Lowthers, again keeping the customer happy, which to this day has customers driving to Delanco from several states and miles away. There has also grown a large base of customers who regularly fill parts orders simply by picking up the phone. The decades of growth have come almost completely by word of mouth, and the families desire to do business right.
